I started building Alva in 2022 after watching merchants lose money to two problems over and over: files failing to deliver after checkout, and fraud orders draining away digital inventory the moment a campaign took off.
The first version was a fulfilment engine — presigned URLs, time-limited downloads, CDN-backed delivery, no per-transaction cuts. Today Alva also handles license keys, branded email domains, Shopify Flow automations, made-to-order personalised products, and an AI fraud-protection layer wired into Shopify's Risk API.
