Send a test email from the Alva admin

The Email Settings page has a Send test email button — receive a sample of the rendered delivery email at any address you choose.

Steps to send a test email

1. Open Email Settings

In the Alva Digital Downloads admin, click Settings, then click Email. The Email Settings page shows the editor for the global delivery email plus the Send test email control.

2. Enter a test recipient

Type the address you want the sample delivered to. Any address works — your own inbox, a Gmail alias, a colleague. The address does not need to belong to a real customer.

3. Click Send test

Click Send test. Alva renders the current template with placeholder values — sample customer name, sample order number, sample download link — and sends it to the address you entered. Open the inbox to confirm delivery.
