Capture customer email at the POS for delivery

Tap the Alva Digital Downloads tile on the Shopify POS, type or scan the customer's email into the dialog, and confirm — the download email is sent instantly.

Steps to capture an email at POS

1. Open the cart or order on POS

On the Shopify POS, build the cart with the digital products the customer is buying, or open the just-completed order from the receipt screen. Guest sales work the same as named-customer sales.

2. Tap the Alva Digital Downloads tile

Tap the Alva Digital Downloads tile on the Smart Grid, or open it from the order's actions list after checkout. The email-capture dialog opens with an input field and a Send button.

3. Type or scan the email and confirm

Type the customer's email address, or use a barcode scanner pointed at a loyalty card. Tap Send. Alva Digital Downloads creates the purchase record and sends the download email to that address straight away.
